Hi, I'm Lauren Fiabane, MPH, RDN, LDN, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, recognized and awarded by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I earned my graduate degree on campus in Public Health and Nutrition from the number one nationally ranked program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where my research focused on the role of dietary n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and their metabolites in modulating systemic inflammation.

My clinical experience includes working at a Level 2 trauma center in the ICU and later collaborating with an integrated team at Duke Diet & Fitness to address weight management and behavior change. I also worked with organizations like SNAP, WIC, CDC, USDA and No Kid Hungry, focusing on improving nutrition in underserved communities. I now work with local food programs across New Jersey, securing grants and developing initiatives to combat food insecurity.
In private practice, I combine my background in clinical nutrition with mindfulness techniques, having received certifications in Mindful Self-Compassion and Mindful-Based Stress Reduction from Brown University. Forever curious and dedicated to growth, I'm currently expanding my expertise as a Health & Well-Being Coach at Duke University.

I help individuals create lasting change by combining personalized nutrition, mindfulness, and the science of behavior change. Rooted in the gut-brain connection and self-compassion, my evidence-based approach empowers clients to improve their health in sustainable, meaningful ways.

The work we do together will be guided by our Three Anchors: mindfulness, kindness and clarity.

-
Mindfulness about how you're feeling, body and mind, and exploring solutions that a truly work for you with a "beginner's mind" curiosity
-
Kindness in accepting those feelings with a compassionate heart, fostering a positive and supportive mindset.
-
Clarity in understanding nutrition as a science and achievable steps to keep you moving forward with confidence.

With these guiding principles, my approach to nutrition and well-being focuses not only on your body’s needs but also on the lifestyle, values, and support system that drive lasting change.
